She holds a Bachelor's degree in the Arts and Humanities from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and she has a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Phoenix, Arizona. She is married and has two adult children. The author has published poetry in A Celebration of Poets: Showcase Edition and The Southern Consumer Times Newspaper.
